Chapter Nine:

Welcome to Chapter Nine. We begin this chapter at the Twinbrook County hospital. Chloe and Eddie have just given birth to two beautiful babies, Emerald and Elijah Summer-Moon.

Chloe and Eddie were the proudest they had ever been. They each carried one of their beautiful babies home late that night.

Eddie messaged his brother, thinking that Will was out in the vampire community, to tell him the good news. What Eddie didn't know was that Will had been waiting outside the hospital, to see the love of his life walk out safely. Will's cold heart broke a little that night. As he raced the taxi home Will thought about all the things his brother got, that he never would.

The spare room was transformed into the nursery. Chloe and Eddie put Elijah and Emerald to bed, and retired to their own room in the wee hours of the morning for some much needed rest.

Will went in to see the twins as soon as Chloe and Eddie went to bed. As much as he resented his brother for being the reason that he would never be with Chloe, looking upon those beautiful innocent babies, Will's heart swelled. These were Chloe's children, and he would do what he could to protect them, just as his grandmother had watched out for him and his brother.

The weeks began to fly by. Eddie loved spending his time watching his kids sleep. They were so small, so perfect. Little did Eddie know what his wife was doing down in the basement.

Will and Chloe, after having been a little distant from each other during Chloe's pregnancy, had reunited. And Chloe had a request for her quiet, mysterious friend. Chloe asked Will to change her into a vampire.

Eddie knew his wife was spending time a lot of her time with Will. But he attributed it to their long standing friendship, he had no clue about what it actually was. Besides, he could handle the babies on his own for the most part. So he let his wife rest, knowing his brother would be company enough.

After getting Will's ok on her request to turn into a vampire. Chloe decided to broach the subject with her husband.

To say that Eddie was pissed, was an understatement. He worked for months to cure his vampirism only to have his wife wishing to embrace it herself. After a long, long argument, Chloe somehow managed to convince Eddie that it was her decision to make, and that she was going to do it, no matter what he said. How she did it is still unclear to this writer.

Later that week Will took a bite from Chloe's wrist that would change her life.

Holding his wife in his arms, feeling her body heat slowly receed with every passing day, Eddie was saddened by his wife's decision. But he loved her too much to hold it against her, he just hoped she was thinking of the children.

Unfortunately, Chloe was not thinking about her kids. The babies had always been Eddie's. He got up with them during the night, he played with them during the day. Besides, with every passing day Chloe began to realise a horrible truth. Perhaps she had married the wrong brother. As she watched the curse slowly take it's hold she felt content with her decision to get closer to Will.

As the babies settled in and the months moved on, Eddie decided to get a job. He went down to the local police station one morning, and that afternoon he was at the bottom of the law enforcement career, hoping that one day he would be the one behind the big desk.

Eddie was busy with work, so Will and Chloe celebrated Elijah and Emerald's birthday.

Emerald had inherited her grandmother's bright blue eyes and her father's brown hair.

Elijah had inherited his grandfather's black hair, but looked remarkably like his mother.

The twins were very close. They spent their days playing together.

One afternoon, as few weeks after the kids' birthday, Chloe's curse took full hold. The kids were a little too young to undertand, but the bats sure did freak them out just a tad.

Eddie was at work that day. Will heard the kids crying and came up from the basement to check that everything was ok. What he found was the love of his life, looking at him from pale glowing eyes, with the sexiest fangs in her smile. Will fell in love with Chloe all over again.

Eddie soon got used to coming home from work and greeting a vampire for a wife. He did mind, a little. But he saw how happy she was, and that made him happy. Besides, his beautiful kids were his main focus.

Now that Chloe was a vampire, the passion that had cooler ever so slightly over the years they had been secretly together, was re-ignited with a burst. Will and Chloe were together, in every sense of the word, every chance they got. The second Eddie left work, till they heard his carpool pull up, love was in the air.

Chloe was happy. Her plan had worked. She was back with Will, like she was when they were teenagers. Plus, with Eddie spending most of his time either at work, or playing with the kids, he had no idea what was going on. Unfortunately for Chloe, she was starting to get a little careless.

Will helped out with the kids. For the first time since his teen years, Will was up and about during the day. Inside of course. But with Eddie at work during the day, Will felt Chloe needed the extra hand. Plus they couldn't be together if he was asleep.

The months were flying by so fast. The kids were growing every day, learning new things. Eddie was getting promoted to Traffic Cop, and along with it a pay rise. Everything was just perfect on the surface.

Eddie and Chloe's relationship had cooled slightly. They still appeared happily married, don't get me wrong. But they were no longer in the honeymoon phase of the relationship. Chloe just hoped that Eddie remained clueless about the affair.

One night Chloe got up just after Eddie fell asleep. That night Chloe discovered she was pregnant.

The first thing she did was tell Will. There was a strong possiblility that this baby would be Will's. He wasn't too sure what to do with this information, so took to the weights to calm his mind and process this news.

Morning sickness took hold and soon Eddie was filled in on the news.

Eddie had always wanted a big family and he was so happy with the news of the impending baby.

The baby began to grow. And Chloe began to worry. Even though Will and Eddie were brothers, they looked different. What if the baby looked like Will? What if it had blue skin? How would she explain that to her husband?

Chloe had taken a back seat in the raising of Emerald and Elijah so far. But that didn't mean that she didn't love them. She loved them a great deal. She just realised that they should have been Will's kids. And this new baby was possibly going to give her what she now knew she had wanted all along.

Will took a lot of time to process the news. He retreated away again. Running around town kept his mind free to process the facts as he knew them. He came to the conclusion that he would follow what Chloe wanted. If the child was his, and Chloe chose to raise it as Eddie's, then he would abide her wishes.

The months were going past so fast. Eddie was working so hard as a junior cop, the twins were growing up more every day, and the Chloe's baby bump was increasing with every passing week.

Soon enough it was the twin's birthday again. This time Eddie made sure he was home from work to hold his kids near their cakes.

Elijah looked more like his mother than ever.

While Emerald looked more like her pale blue skinned grandmother.

Chloe had settled in to life as a vampire. Luckily she had been watching Will closely for the past couple of years, so she knew what she needed to do to survive with her new lifestyle. And it seemed that the baby was quiet fond of plasma juice, so it made consuming the massive amounts she was craving a little easier.

Now that her kids were older, Chloe could answer their questions about her affair with Will. They were old enough now to begin resenting her for it. They loved their father very much, so they took Chloe's advice and kept their secret from him, knowing it would destroy their kind hearted father.

One day Will took a rare trip outside just as the sun was setting. It was one he had been looking forward to taking for ages.

He was going to see his grandmother. Maggie and her husband were having a housewarming party. After spending a while travelling around, they finally settled back in Twinbrook in a lovely fancy house on the river. Seeing his grandmother after all this time was just the thing he needed. After filling her in on the birth of her great-grandchildren and Eddie's success at the local police station, he decided to confess. He told Maggie all about Chloe, and the baby.

Maggie was disappointed in her grandson. But they talked things over that night, and she told him he had to change things. It wasn't fair on anyone for this affiar to continue. Will finally admitted that things had to change. Seeing Maggie again had reminded him that he was entitled to happiness, just like she had found with Robert.

Chloe's fears for what the birth of her baby would mean, had only grown in the last few weeks of her pregnancy. She had no idea that Will was about to change everything.

Will sat down with the kids the next morning and talked about him and Chloe. He apoligised to them for what they were doing. He made no excuses, and he took their anger, and told them that it would all get better soon.

Chloe had no idea that Will had talked to Elijah and Emerald. She was pretty distant from them since she made them promise not to hurt their father.

Will and Chloe were still hopelessly in love. They often talked about running away together. But as the due date loomed ever closer, Chloe had no idea that Will wasn't kidding anymore.

If the baby was his, Will had decided with Maggie's advice, that he would take Chloe and the baby and begin a life together. After coming clean to his brother, of course.

That day, as Eddie left for work and the kids left for school, Chloe was in Will's study and she went into labour.

Not wanting to risk the dangerous sun Chloe decided to have the baby right there in the basement. Much to Will's chargrin. After hours and hours of painful labour, Eddie was watching the kids upstairs and Will had gone for a run to relieve his tension. Chloe gave birth to not one, not two, but three little babies. The birth had been smooth for all three babies. But there was one tiny problem.

All three babies looked just like their father....

Chapter Eight:

We begin Chapter Eight just a few days after our founder Raven Moon, passed away.

The household was in mourning. While Eddie was now a fully fledged human, the victory was bittersweet. Chloe, whatever her feelings for his brother, comforted Eddie as best she could.

Maggie and Raven's relationship had been cool at best, but even she felt the loss dearly. Maggie felt the need to do more with her life, seeing how fragile it could be. So, she called the one man she had been deliberately distancing herself from for months. Robert Castor was a member of Maggie's coven, they been flirting on and off for a while and Maggie decided it was time to act on her feelings.

Robert was more than happy to come to Maggie's aid. She had entranced him the first moment he saw her. These two were perfectly suited to eachother. As Maggie sought comfort in Robert's arms, a new romance began to blossom.

As the sun began to rise, and the pair knew they must part ways, they left eachother with love in their eyes. Maggie had never felt like this before, and she had been around for a long time. It felt like something that she never knew was missing, was finally put into place.

Back at the house, Raven's legacy stood on. Her best sculptures sat in the garden. Her wish was that they remain there until future generations needed some extra cash.

Chloe and Eddie decided to move in together. And with Chloe came a small amount of money. A renovation on the tiny cottage was completed as quickly as possible.

Raven's old bedroom was expanded to create more space for the kitchen and the dining area.

Eddie's bedroom was moved to the back of the house and a proper living room was added.

Eddie and Chloe got a nice simple master bedroom at the back of the house, where the courtyard used to be.

A spare bedroom was also added next to the master bedroom. Eddie secretly hoped there would a child living in there in the not to distant future.

Even the basement got a makeover.

Maggie's lair was transformed into quite a hospitable place to live.

Chloe and Eddie couldn't have been happier in the renovated home. The days began to fly by as the pair was lost in the romance they shared.

But what Eddie didn't know was that part of the reason Chloe was with him, was for the lure of his family and the curse that Will and Maggie still had. Will was still in love with Chloe, although they didn't get much time alone. They settled instead, for the pleasure of each other's company when Will was heading back to the basement after a long night out, and Chloe had risen before Eddie.

Eddie and Chloe had been together for quite a while. They were the epitome of high school sweethearts. And one afternoon Eddie had a question for the love of his life.

Chloe did hesitate before saying yes. But she had gone this long keeping her love for Will a secret, and she was sure she could spend the rest of her life in love with both boys.

Happy in their engaged bliss, the plans for the wedding began to take shape in a number of days.

While romance was blossoming in the house during the day, Maggie and Robert's relationship was going to new heights during the night. Maggie now spent every night in the arms of her beloved. As she helped Eddie plan the daytime wedding she would not be able to attend, she thought about what it meant for her. Did she want what her grandson had managed to find? Had she already found it?

Will was left somewhat out of the next few blissful months. While his brother was spending his time with Will's secret lover Chloe and his grandmother was spending her time with her new beau, Will felt on the outside, looking in. He took the next few months to work hard in the gym. He was an intimidating figure.

Finally the big day came. Chloe didn't really speak to her sister, or her mother, so neither were invited. And Eddie's family were not able to come, thanks to the harsh sun. So it was a very small ceremony for the happy couple. But they wouldn't have had it any other way.

Or maybe a little different. Just before they exchanged vows, Chloe couldn't keep it in any longer and had to rush off to the bathroom. She'd been feeling ill all week, and her thoughts were confirmed that day. She was pregnant.

A quick trip to the bathroom meant that Chloe could marry Eddie in relative comfort.

Eddie was the happiest he'd ever been that day. He was married to the love of his life, and a baby was on the way.

Chloe's pregnancy meant a lot of morning sickness. For the next few weeks she was constantly running off to the bathroom.

Maggie knew that she wanted what Eddie had. She wouldn't change her curse, but maybe she could find the love of her life. And she suspected that she already had.

Maggie had been around for many, many years. But the night Robert proposed was one of the happiest of her long life.

They had both taken quite a few years to come to terms with their curse, and had rebelled a lot in those early years. Now they both decided it was time to settle down. And the way to do that was to move in together after a quiet wedding.

Maggie told her grandsons that she was getting married to Robert, then they were going to find their own place. Will and Eddie were suprised, after all Maggie had always been there for them. But they were happy and supportive of their grandmother.

It wasn't long before Robert and Maggie were tying the knot.

They stayed together in the basement lair for a couple of weeks before they managed to find a new place.

Maggie never thought she could be as happy as she was with Robert. But as she left her place for the last time, following him up out into the night and to their new home, Maggie was a little sad to be leaving. She had been through a few different stages in her long life, and as this one came to an end, a new one was just beginning.

The household noticed Maggie's absence, but as she settled into her new house with her new husband, the baby was growing noticebly.

Months flew past. Eddie worked hard keeping his wife comfortable. As the baby grew she had to spend more and more time resting.

Chloe had been feeling a little down lately. Since she married Eddie, her other love Will, had been keeping his distance. She couldn't really blame him, it was a weird situation to be in. But she found herself missing his glowing eyes more and more the more he retreated away.

Will wasn't particularly proud of himself over those few months. He knew he was pushing Chloe away, punishing her for the messed up situation he found himself in. He thought that she deserved more than he could give, so took a step back to let Eddie be her one and only. It wasn't easy, and he found himself leaving the house as often as he could, so he wouldn't be tempted.

One night as Chloe watched Will stalk down the garden paths, remembering back to those lazy days she used to spend with him up on the hill overlooking the town, she went into labour.

Eddie and Chloe raced off to hospital. They were both so nervous it took them four tries to get the car parked properly.

Will followed the car at a distance. Although he was trying to stay away from Chloe, knowing that she was in pain made it impossible for him not to want to comfort her. That night Will felt more alone than ever.

Eddie raced in ahead of his wife.

Hours went by. Will paced nervously around town. Finally he stopped on a hill overlooking the hospital. There he waited to watch Chloe and Eddie emerge.

Chloe held her beautiful new daughter Emerald Summer-Moon and Eddie held their little son Elijah Summer-Moon. The young couple had given birth to twins. And with this wonderful news, we shall leave the small family. Stay tuned for Chapter nine!

Can Will ever be happy? How is Maggie settling down with her new husband? How will the twins grow up?
