Chapter Six:

Welcome to Chapter Six. Leave me a comment here, or over here, to let me know what you think! Thanks for reading.

William struggled every day with his curse. Although he could live a normal teenagehood, he knew that when his eighteenth birthday came around his life would never be normal. His dark moods made him more like his grandmother than he knew.

Unlike his brother, little Eddie did not think too much about the curse he would inherit. Rather than wallow in self pity Eddie had made a promise to himself that he would do his best to find the cure his father could not.

After years Raven's debilitating grief over Finn's death, began to slowly heal. She still missed him every day, but she found it was getting easier to get up in the mornings. She even began venturing out into the town more and more.

Soon it was Eddie's birthday.

Eddie was more down to earth than his moody brother.

But like his brother, Eddie liked to keep fit. In fact he liked athletic activities more than anything else. He was always found pumping iron, or jogging around town.

As the months flew by Maggie continued with her nightly trips out into the town.

Maggie was a well respected member of the night dwelling community. Where ever she went she attracted a host of other residents. Whether they were the quiet and cold vampire coven that Maggie led, or the thrill seeking band of fans. While it had taken over a century, Maggie had finally come to peace with her role in society.

Maggie continued to jog home after her nightly exploits, and she was ever aware of the power of the sun. Every time she felt the familiar heating up of her skin and the pink glow of the rising sun, her stomach clenched and tears were brought to her eyes. Her only son was a victim of the harsh reality of the vampire, and it spurred her on to race home before the sun burned her skin.

The months were flying past. Raven was at peace and she enjoyed watching her sons in their teen years.

Her sculptures were being sold for quite a pretty penny, and Raven found herself needing more materials faster than ever before. Venues and houses all over the town were now filled with Raven's beautiful sculptures, made from any material that Raven could get her hands on.

Eddie was settling in to high school nicely. He even made a friend. Chloe Fisher, her twin sister and her mother, were new to town and she was eager to make friends.

The months wore on. Raven was getting older and older every day. With her birthday getting closer every day, Raven set about gathering as much money as she could to leave an inheritence for her kids. It was a little depressing that Raven now looked older than Maggie.

Eddie and Chloe's friendship was developing into something a little more. They went out most afternoons after school and stayed out until curfew.

Eddie knew he was falling for this blonde girl. Racing the cop cars home at curfew every night, gave him time to plan his move.

Raven didn't seem too bothered by the fact that her youngest son was out way too late every night. She had never been strict with her boys, and she just let them do what they wanted.

Finally Edward organised for a Saturday date with Chloe. He was a bundle of nerves that day, he planned on telling Chloe his feelings when they walked through Sunflower Park.

Luckily for Eddie, Chloe was more than happy to start something up with him. She had been waiting weeks for him to ask her out.

The young couple spent all afternoon in the tranquil Sunflower park, making the other park visitors a little uncomfortable. But they were completely engrossed in eachother's... tongues. It was the happiest day of Eddie's young life.

Just like Raven, Maggie wasn't too worried about Eddie spending all his time with Chloe. She just hoped he told her soon about his curse. Then he could get on with life knowing he could never have the love and support of a woman like Chloe.

Maggie did however send out feelers into the community to find out more about her grandsons new squeeze. Basking in the bar that had become the headquaters for her coven, Maggie's sub-ordinates reported back that Chloe was just a normal young girl, in love with a teenage vampire.

Eddie hadn't told his girlfriend the extent of his curse. Sure, she knew what he was, the grandson of the infamous Maggie Summer, but she didn't know that he had inherited more than the glowing eyes.

Chloe was alright hearing the news that her boyfriend wouldn't have a normal life. Eddie was so relieved that she seemed to accept him.

The couple quickly got back to their main aim in life, sucking face.

Will and Raven were unfortunately less than impressed to witness this public display of affection while they were trying to have a late Sunday breakfast.

What his family didn't know was that Will and Chloe were also friends. In fact, Will had already told Chloe about what being a vampire actually meant. They kept their close friendship to themselves, so to avoid awkward conversations with Eddie.

There was nothing going on between Chloe and William. But Will hoped to change that, asking her to meet him out at Sunflower park one night.

Chloe and Will met in the sunflower patch, where no one could see them. And although Chloe loved her boyfriend, the glowing sky blye eyes of his brother were too hard to resist. In the cover of the sunflowers, Will and Chloe started up the affair that would tear a family apart.

Stay tuned for Chapter Seven!
